Position Location: Dayton, OH (On-Site)

About the Role:

The Senior Security Manager - Journeyman will provide support and expertise to Information, Industrial, Personnel, and Operations Security including Program Protection.

Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To:

  • Develop a tracking system to enable all security personnel to systematically review all pertinent elements involved in processing of classified and unclassified contracts.
  • Process Visitor Group Security Agreements (VGSAs) for contracts with on-base efforts.
  • Monitor contractor clearances to ensure proper access per the DD 254 is entered; ensure a visit request is received for each on base employee and updated as needed; ensure companies update contractor clearances as required.
  • Monitor subcontract agreements; correspond with FSOs to acquire subcontract DD 254s and ensure either a letter of agreement with the prime VGSA or a subcontract VGSA is accomplished.
  • Manage government and contractor consultants.
  • Acquire agreements and ensure elements of classified contracts/security agreements are agreed to.
  • Manage final DD 250Z's; ensure a final DD 254 is accomplished and classified information developed for the government is returned.
  • Manage contractor training program and provide results to FSOs annually.
  • Manage co-utilization agreements between companies when requested to share classified information between contracts.
  • Manage the Industrial Security Facilities Database and the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment for all contracts.
  • Monitor and inspect classified secure spaces to ensure compliance with applicable DoD and Air Force instructions.
  • Monitor security incidents and provide recommendations on lessening the effects/instances.
  • Review Security Classified Guidance and make recommendations to program managers for security of program information.
  • Assist with management of Office Security/Division Security Managers (OSM/DSM) and provide security updates as required; Provide initial and refresher training to all OSMs/DSMs and schedule and assist with semi-annual OSM/DSM meetings.
  • Manage the security container program and certifications of secured spaces.
  • Manage the security self-inspection program IAW applicable DoD and Air Force instructions.
  • Assist with the Management Internal Control Toolset (MICT) or successor program.
  • Assist with management of the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) and/or Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
  • Assist with monthly management of requests for background investigations of personnel. Ensure monthly rosters are pulled from JPAS/DISS.
  • Maintain spreadsheets for personnel requiring background investigations.
  • Assist with management of Security Information Files.
  • In/Out-Process personnel and maintain applicable databases. Manage the Information Protection organization mailbox. Certifications: Security Fundamental Professional Certification and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification.
  • Assist with proposal development, if necessary.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

Experience:

  • Three (3) to ten (10) years' applicable experience.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
    • Bachelor's degree desired.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification highly desired.

Other Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Security Clearance:

  • TS/SCI security clearance required.

US Citizenship: This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Sawdey Solution Services to staff it only with U.S. Citizens.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $95,000
