Overview

AVIAN is searching for an Quality Control Specialist join our team providing support for the Unmanned Maritime Systems (UMS) Group providing support to our Panama City office.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will:

    Solve technical problems.
  • Trained in the skills and techniques related to engineering.
  • Assure that the product and its manufacturing process meet quality and safety standards.
  • Able to interpret plans and drawings and contribute to the design and fabrication of test specimens.
  • Should have experience in computer aided drafting (CAD), ability to prepare shop drawings for model construction, and be familiar with material specifications and fabrication methods.
  • Practical background working on boats is a plus.
Qualifications

Education:
High school Diploma, related military experience, trade/industrial school graduate or GED equivalent.
Experience:
1-5 years professional experience related to field.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
  • Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • This position has a 30% travel requirement.
  • This position is open to candidates within a commutable distance. No remote opportunitites are available for this position.
