Assists Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders. Performs various technical duties involved with the handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals. Provides patient care services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

  • The NICU Pharmacy Tech will be working with sterile compiunding, non-sterile compounding, and parenteral nutrution compounding.

The NICU Pharmacy Tech must be available to work rotating shifts between the hours of 7am-730pm, every 4th weekend, and holiday rotation.

REQUIRED
  1. Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia
  2. High school diploma or equivalent
  3. Non-certified technicians will have two (2) years from the date of employment to successfully complete a Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Exam recognized by the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy and certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
    • In lieu of certification, Pharmacy students with Georgia Board of Pharmacy Intern License.

PREFERRED

  1. Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
  2. Pediatric/Neonatal experience preferred.
