Business Architecture Simplification Project Lead, SVP

The Business Architecture (BA) team is a dynamic strategic organization at the forefront of Citi's Transformation efforts. We act as a catalyst across businesses and functions and drive the transformation of Citi into a simpler, customer-centric organization. We are responsible for partnering with business lines and functions to establish the framework and execution of the simplification program, which includes developing enterprise-wide domain taxonomies, publishing standard playbooks and procedures, as well as creating process and design engineering models. We provide the businesses and functions with ongoing governance, program oversight, metrics and reporting to ensure consistency, control, and accountability and part to develop the frameworks that are the foundations of everything we do.

The "Simplification Project Lead" role will have a material impact on the Transformation program through contribution in driving the planning and execution for Business Architecture commitments. This is a high visibility role that requires knowledge of Citis Businesses and Functions with an emphasis on Technology Simplification, Transformation and Risk and Control. There will be extensive interaction with Businesses and Functions, Risk and Control teams and Transformation Execution teams requiring superior project management skills coupled with excellent communication skills to negotiate internally, often at a senior level.

Responsibilities:

• Leads planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a program, portfolio of programs or projects
• Applies in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function
• Oversees and manages program plans to ensure they meet business needs as described at initiation
• Escalates risks to the Program Director, or Program Sponsor, when appropriate
• Creates the program risk management plan. Work with program team to create, administer, track, and eventually close risks
• Ensures essential procedures are followed and contributes to defining standards
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience successfully managing complex projects and programs; experience with enterprise-wide Transformation and Consent Order efforts is a plus
• Ability to identify key program requirements, establish and track dependencies and ensure successful and timely delivery of commitments
• Knowledge of procedure development, maintenance and adherence
• Experience with enterprise program management tools (e.g. MS Office, JIRA, Confluence, Citis PTS system) and business intelligence tools such as Tableau is a plus
• Excellent influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills, with an ability to transform data to information for presentation to senior management
• Proven track record of working under pressure and tight timelines; Curious with demonstrated commitment to quality and attention to detail

Education:

• Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
• PMP is a plus but not required
