Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work Onsite with our client in Cape Canaveral, FL. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Avionics Technicians are responsible for fabricating wire harnesses and cables used in electrical and electronic equipment systems for satellites and space system components for the International Space Station, Artemis, and Orion programs as well as commercial programs.
  • Technicians are also responsible for assembling satellite buses and subsystems, and assembly of other complex electromechanical projects.
  • Measures, cuts, solders, and or crimps wire and contacts to fabricate wire harnesses.
  • Reads instructions, such as work orders, diagrams, and wire lists to determine materials needed and sequence of assembly.
  • Assembles cables, satellite buses, and electromechanical systems.
  • Performs potting of connectors to protect from water/dust intrusion.
  • Labels and packages cable harness assemblies for shipment.
  • Adhere to all Quality Management Systems standards and procedures.
  • Treat all team members with respect and dignity ensuring a collaborative culture is continually developed and maintained.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1-year experience as an electrical/cable fabrication technician or other industry experience
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working with wire crimping and connector soldering.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience with engineering drawings, wire diagrams, and electrical schematics.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Commitment to providing the highest quality products and services that meet or exceed the requirements and expectations of our customers, actively pursuing opportunities for continual improvements of service quality.
  • Electromechanical systems and assembly background.
  • IPC J-Std-001 and/or IPC-620 certification, NASA 8739.4 certified
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with many different teams/individuals to reach a common goal by building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation maintaining positive and professional relationships, and contributing to a culture of inclusion.
  • Use of laptop, computer monitor screen, keyboard, and mouse, sometimes utilizing a headset with microphone & speakers.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • Occasionally exerting up to 20 pounds of force to carry, lift, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Sedentary work involves being stationary most of the time, sometimes requiring moving about the work center on
  • Able to travel <10% of the time.
