Job Summary

Reporting to the supervisor you will be responsible for the Daily Management System of the production line. As a Line Leader you will be a provider of support to the Production Operators ensuring the day-to-day running of the lines is optimized. The Area/Line Leader is action oriented and drives results whilst ensuring operators are fully supported and upholding a strict health & safety culture.

Job Description

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the Daily Management System of given production line ensuring all tasks on T-cards are performed as described and at the set time. In this role you will follow a visual form of standard work being accountable for the hour x hour boards and logging miss rate-pareto. You will be responsible for the 3Q6S standard of the line, conducting 3Q6s audits and upholding a strict health & safety culture along with managing the product down the line ensuring operators have all material and equipment needed to conduct their roles.

General Responsibilities

-Ensue all tasks on T-cards are performed on time:

  • Conduct morning start up meetings and PPE checks.
  • Conduct end of shift checks.
  • Fill in hour x hour boards and miss rate-pareto.
  • Scrap materials daily.
  • Daily Gemba walks to ensure lines are clean and clear of waste.
  • Line audit and actions completed weekly.
  • Follow set escalation process.

-Material and PCB supply reports & feedback any line stops to supervisor.

-Release work to the lines according on priority and material availability daily

-Ensure operators have everything they need to prevent line stops:

  • All sub-assemblies are delivered to operators.
  • All raw materials are delivered to operators.
  • All replenishment material is replenished on time.
  • Waste bins are emptied for operators.
  • All consumables are delivered to operators.
  • Workstations are covered by yourself when operators must leave the lines.

-Report all stock discrepancies to supervisor.

-Cover the production lines in periods of absence and holidays if needed.

-Compile miss rate-pareto action plan with owner and close date.

-Report issues the supervisor and relative support service.

-Responsible for ensuring all materials, PCB's and other materials are stored in -correct locations and visually managed.

-Support Supervisor with risk assessments and health & safety activities.

-Review works order velocity weekly ensuring orders are started and completed on time.

-Commit to being customer focused, delivering to them on time every time by demonstrating a can-do attitude that is action oriented with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.

-Lead by example creating a positive work environment on the production line where people are motivated & engaged.

-Feedback any personal issue to the supervisor.

-Provide support & cover to other Line Leaders.

    Education and Qualifications

    Essential

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent

    Experience

    Essential

    • 6+ months experience in assembly area
    • Familiar with KPI's and meeting targets
    • Competent using computers.

    Desirable

    • 1+ year experience in assembly area
    • Experience with MS Office - Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word

    Languages

    • English mandatory
    • Spanish preferred
