The role

The 1LOD Transaction and Supplier Oversight Testing Manager resides within the 1st Line of Defense (1LOD) Business Controls team. This position plays a crucial role in supporting risk management of 1LOD Operations. This role requires hands-on support for overseeing and reporting 1LOD transactional and supplier oversight testing . Responsibilities include ensuring accuracy by reviewing samples of completed testing, informing internal and external stakeholders of test results and findings, monitoring the progress of remediation efforts, and conducting trend analysis to identify potential gaps. Achieving success in this role requires a demonstrated ability to nurture relationships and partnerships, drive the testing program's growth and enhancement, engage in cross-functional collaboration to meet time-sensitive deliverables, and proficiently articulate, report and track issues.

What you'll do:

  • Oversee a team of testers performing recurring monthly and quarterly testing of key processes performed both internally by SoFI employees and externally by core suppliers
  • Help drive innovative ways to approach monthly and quarterly transactional testing , enhance test approach and program to align with best practices within SoFi and industry
  • Obtain and analyze test data from multiple sources, following documented test plans, testing procedures, and leveraging job aids as needed
  • Analyze completed testing and deliverables for accuracy and adherence to procedures and relevant documentation supporting each test is provided
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports on results, findings, including trends and areas for improvement.
  • Manage assigned testing timelines to ensure all tasks and reporting are completed within established timeframes
  • Monitor the overall performance of the testing team and set performance goals.
  • Partner with stakeholders to offer feedback on testing discoveries and ensure the completion of any necessary corrective actions.
  • Monitor and analyze changes in procedures and regulations to assess their impact on the testing scope
  • Collaborate with the Business Control leads to ensure testing scope is comprehensive for identifying and mitigating risks effectively.
  • Undertake ad-hoc duties as needed to support the Operations and 1LOD Risk department

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in audit, compliance, risk management, control, or transaction reviews
  • Experience in banking and/or fintech industry
  • Demonstrate an understanding of testing methodology, business processes, control frameworks, and related regulatory standards
  • Maintain strong time management, organizational and prioritization skills; ability to complete multiple concurrent tasks within close deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and detail
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to review and comprehend large sets of data
  • Knowledge of banking products, processes and regulations
  • Able to synthesize diverse processes and data and formulate appropriate conclusions
  • Demonstrate an ability to balance multiple critical priorities
  • Self-starter with strong ability to work independently with minimum oversight
  • Fluent in Excel and PowerPoint, comfortable with analyzing large datasets in Google suite, MS Office apps, etc.
  • Inquisitive nature, attention to detail, diligence and a good attitude
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; capable of writing documentation, and interacting positively with management and colleagues effectively via telephone (Zoom)

The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and location.
