Works under the direction of the Director of Quality Assurance and Compliance. This position supports and assists in fostering and monitoring compliance applicable to federal and state laws and regulations, other legal obligations, and institutional policies and procedures governing the administration of the principal functions within Student Financial Services.

Essential Functions and Duties

  • Responsible for staying abreast of regulatory changes and standards and interpreting applicability of changes.
  • Process Return of Title IV calculations (R2T4) within the college ERP system, COD, NSLDS, and CPS.
  • Assist with discrepancies resolution between financial aid, credit and collections and finance as it relates to R2T4 processing.
  • Access/create/modify R2T4 reports as needed for processing attendance records.
  • Communicate with students and staff concerning award adjustments
  • Maintain an effective file and store system on SharePoint for R2T4 records.
  • Assist with documenting and ensuring all applicable policies and procedures with the financial aid arena are fully documented and adhered to.
  • Responsible for the creation and updates to all financial forms both PDF and electronic forms.
  • Assist with the collection of information for preparation of QA reports for specific financial aid programs.
  • Perform monthly verifications of V4s and V5s and update V4/V5 report as needed.
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned by the designated supervisor.
  • May consult with PSC staff, faculty, and external parties.
Required Skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite type products including Excel and WORD.
  • Good organizational skills, with special attention to details. Must be able to multi-task.
  • Good oral and written communications skills and the ability to establish effective rapport with students, internal and external customers.
  • Proficient with spreadsheets and databases.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently on broader assignments with the responsibility for the planning of work.
  • Ability to research records and procedures independently.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.

Working Conditions & Additional Information

  • Must be available to work overtime hours as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Must have the ability to work proficiently in a busy, multi-office work area.
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt well to changes.

Salary & Benefits Information

  • This position is a level C15. Please see below for specific salary range.

Required Education

  • Graduation from a standard high school (or equivalent diploma).

Preferred Education

  • Associates degree or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Required Experience
  • Two (2) years of related experience required.
