Overview

Proactively manage/support all efforts with our South America network. Maintain existing business and develop new business. Establish and maintain close relationships with customers, Freight Forwarders, Interline partners, brokers and potential prospects. Work side by side with Commercial and Operational Teams company-wide to ensure our network in South America is leveraged appropriately and adding optimal value to our customers and the organization.

Responsibilities

Customers:

    Schedule regular customer visits and maintain close working relationship with Customer commercial teams to gather market and demand intel to drive business decisions and focus.
  • Provide support as required for customer operational issues.
  • Coordinate the generation of data/reports as required by Customers or internal team members to support commercial needs.
  • Develop market & competitor intelligence capabilities in close cooperation with the Senior Director Commercial Analysis and Revenue Management.
  • Manage Salesforce.com information and updates for South America Region customers.

Day to Day Operations:

  • Manage sales activities in South America Region (proactively and day of flight) and support charter activity as required.
  • Report regional commercial and operational matters to management through regular briefing synopsis.
  • Provide regional operational support for sales projects/developments/company expansion.
  • Support regional operational administration matters with local stations as required.
  • Participate in weekly conference calls with customers and operational divisions.
  • Support regional out-sourcing and in-sourcing projects.
  • Continuous focus on operational improvement and excellence.

Financial:

  • Ensure flight performance by maximizing load factors and managing yields.
  • Coordinate with revenue teams to track net ACMI per block hour and other metrics to align with forecast.
  • Regularly review regional operations for potential cost savings and All aspects of pre- and post-flight operations.

People:

  • Maintain cooperative and neutral relationship with all Atlas departments worldwide to enhance problem solving and teamwork to resolve operational issues seamlessly for Customers.
  • Cooperate closely with other commercial heads on the development of new business opportunities and ways to interconnect South America with other regions.
  • Work with other team members to develop their skills and capitalize on their strengths to support the achievement of the regional and global sales plan.
  • Develop team approach with regional/global departments to support company initiatives and developments.
Qualifications
  • 9-11 years of extensive global operational and commercial airline experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of South American market.
  • Bilingual preferred; able to read, write and speak Spanish fluently.
  • Progressively responsible experience levels in prior job assignments.
  • Thorough understanding of operating economics of the aircraft in Atlas Air's fleet.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work with people, both as direct reports and through collaboration.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated abilities in problem solving, with a focus on Customer Service solutions.
  • Understanding and experience with the fleet types operated by Atlas Air and its affiliates.
  • Ability to independently organize and perform multiple assignments with time constraints and firm deadlines.
  • Display overall excellent communication (internal and external), management and decision-making skills.
  • Comfortable working with Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Salesforce.com highly beneficial

Salary Range: $114,000- $154,000

Financial offer within the stated range will be based on multiple factors to include but not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset.
