Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, the Product Owner III will be leading a scrum team supporting a clinical data product that provides insights to the quality of data we are receiving from our customers. The Product Owner will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and internal and external clients to gather, document, and refine user stories and product requirements, and actively manage the product development and quality assurance activities utilizing Agile / scrum methodologies.

To be qualified for this position, you:

  • Have a bachelor's degree in computer science, healthcare, business, IT, or equivalent work experience.

  • Have over 5 years of experience in a Product Owner role.

  • Have experience leading an Agile scrum team.

  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to accurately analyze information and make sound decisions.

  • Have strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.

  • Have experience in business intelligence. This is highly preferred.

  • Must be capable of gathering and documenting requirements, and clearly be able to understand and communicate analysis conducted on the requirements.

  • Understand the technical side of the PDLC and can interact with engineering teams.

  • Have experience getting a project up and running from inception, not only maintenance.

  • Have a passion and aptitude to learn. You are a self-starter and enjoy autonomous work.

  • Have experience working with a large team and navigating internal relationships.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, supporting internal and external business partners.

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

  • Effective leadership skills and ability to listen, communicate and motivate teams to achieve results.

  • Flexibility to partner with and negotiate with various personality types at all levels within and outside the organization.

What will set you apart:

  • You have a unique blend of product ownership experience for data products or platforms and healthcare technology experience.

  • You have experience with BI tools like Tableau or Power BI. You can translate data into words fostering better communication and decision-making.

  • You have a Product Owner Certification

  • You have experience with tools like JIRAand Confluence.

What you will be doing:

Product Backlog Management:

  • Collaborate with the Scrum team to break down requirements, estimate tasks, and maintain a prioritized backlog aligned with business value.

  • Triage incoming product enhancement requests and issues, ensuring a healthy backlog of work ready for sprint planning.

  • Refine user stories with the engineering team to ensure shared understanding and acceptance criteria.

Sprint Planning & Execution:

  • Approve sprint work and ensure it aligns with sprint objectives.

  • Participate in agile ceremonies like sprint planning, refinement, and standups.

Product Advocacy & Communication:

  • Advocate for and manage the product's value proposition.

  • Serve as the liaison between the development team and stakeholders, including Senior Product Managers, Support, Implementation, and Client Services.

  • Communicate product roadmap and vision to stakeholders.
