Job Description:

Clinical or Counseling Psychologist

Centerstone offers care to community members across the life span, as well as in a stepped care model ranging from outpatient psychotherapy, to residential and inpatient services. Centerstone is part of a larger not-for-profit network which seeks to support those who might otherwise not have access to mental health care. This continuum of care allows us to fully support our clients in their recovery. Providing services and supervision in this environment is a uniquely rewarding experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology from an APA accredited program; Completion of an APA accredited internship or equivalent; Completion of a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Psychology; Active license to practice as a psychologist in the state of Florida, or, if licensed in another state, ability to obtain Florida license by date of hire.

Preferred Qualification:

Previous supervisory experience in psychology; Desire to work with a community based population; Comfort working across levels of the stepped care model; Knowledge of Family Systems; Training and/or experience in Motivational Enhancement or Motivational Interviewing; Prior work with child and adolescent populations.

Special Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Knowledge of community resources and evidence based practices for psychotherapy.

Essential Functions:

  • Reports to work as scheduled on a daily basis and performs assigned duties to ensure the smooth operation of the psychology department.
  • Performs and documents comprehensive psychodiagnostic evaluations.
  • Provides counseling/psychotherapy and ancillary services.
  • Provides consultation regarding services provided.
  • Supervision of psychology interns and practicum students.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

Works in well-lighted areas. Sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during work hours. Is subject to frequent interruptions. Is involved with clients, residents, family members, personnel, visitors, in a behavioral health setting.

Position Type, Expected Hours of Work and Travel:

This is a full time, exempt position. Typical hours of work are Monday through Friday.

Entry Pay Range:

$71,531.00 - $107,286.00
