Our team, supporting Military Sealift Command (MSC) in Pensacola, FL, is sourcing an MSC Network Operations Center (MNOC) Watch Lead. Our MNOC Watch team helps MSC shipboard users resolve network connectivity issues and provides incident handoff to our Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Specific duties include:
* Provide day-to-day oversight of our Watch team, consisting of 15 employees who work on 3 different shifts
* Perform administrative duties, such as creating manning schedules, ensuring the Watch team completes mandatory training, and processing leave requests
* Identify, collect, create, and/or distribute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to the Watch team for use assisting shipboard users
* Oversee Watch efforts during Continuity of Operations (COOP) failover events, such as contacting shipboard users to track failover success and troubleshooting issues encountered during failover
* Analyze Watch response time and success rate, use the metrics to identify underperforming areas, then plan and implement new or revised processes to increase performance
* Must possess current IAT II or higher security certification in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M
* Must have or be able to get within 6 months of hire, an appropriate Computing Environment or vendor certification for associated communications equipment being supported in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M
* Must have 9 years of progressive IT management experience
* Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
* Must be able to travel as needed to support mission requirements
