Introducing PGA TOUR STUDIOS, a cutting-edge media facility spanning three floors and 165,000 square feet. Opening its doors in January 2025, the facility will house eight spacious production control rooms, eight audio control rooms, and versatile studios. With a five-fold expansion in production capabilities, we're gearing up to strengthen our graphic operations team. This team will play a crucial role in supporting PGA TOUR LIVE on ESPN+, PGA TOUR international feed, PGA TOUR Champions and Korn Ferry telecasts, original programming, digital content, creative design and more.

This position is responsible for the direct management of all staff and freelance live Graphics Operators. This department manager is responsible for creating, designing and facilitating the graphics for live broadcasts including PGA TOUR LIVE, PGA TOUR Champions, Korn Ferry tour, as well as others. Working with members of the various production teams to determine the appropriate on-air graphics to be used in each show. Responsible for the accuracy, look, consistency and execution of all graphics included in shows.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree or related technical education required.

• Minimum seven years of experience with broadcast graphics system, font creation and production experience

• Experience managing people

• Experience with scoring system interfaces is preferred

• Sports production background preferred, experience with the game of golf a plus

• Proficient in operating the Chyron Lyric, Chyron Prime and Ross Xpression

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Excellent typing and spelling skills required

• Understanding of video production as it pertains to font creation and implementation

• Must have basic working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, & After Effects and show proficiency in prepping artwork for graphic implementation

• Schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays with weekly schedule primarily Wednesday - Sunday

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• Direct management of all live graphics operators at the PGA TOUR including both freelance and staff

• Focus on ongoing refinement of procedures, training, standards and workflows of all live graphics operations

• Responsible for proficient operation of graphics system and all associated technical equipment

• Work directly with the graphic artists in the creation and execution of all design elements for current and proposed programming and broadcast commitments

• Responsible for graphic pre-builds and re-loads and ongoing consultation with the production staff as needed concerning the creation of graphic elements for various projects

• Communicate all technical equipment problems immediately to Engineering through the maintenance reports and assist Engineering in location and identifying equipment problems as needed

• Maintain operations within guidelines of PGA TOUR Technical Procedures Manual

• Responsible for checking schedule changes and alterations

• Special projects or other duties as assigned
