Our client is a renowned healthcare solutions provider dedicated to revolutionizing healthcare delivery through cutting-edge innovations. They areseeking a highly skilled and experienced In-House Attorney/Counsel to join their dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive legal counsel, with a focus on contract negotiation, vendor management, healthcare compliance, contract review, and supporting healthcare delivery operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Contract Lifecycle Management:
    • Negotiate, draft, and review a wide range of contracts, including vendor agreements, licensing arrangements, service contracts, and partnership agreements.
    • Ensure contractual terms align with company policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
    • Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from initiation to execution and renewal, meticulously tracking key milestones and deadlines.
  2. Vendor Relationship Oversight:
    • Cultivate and maintain strong collaborative relationships with vendors and third-party partners.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to contractual obligations and business objectives.
    • Resolve legal and contractual disputes with vendors promptly and efficiently.
  3. Healthcare Regulatory Compliance:
    • Stay abreast of evolving healthcare laws, regulations, and industry guidelines, including HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and FDA regulations.
    • Advise internal stakeholders on compliance matters related to product development, marketing, and distribution initiatives.
    • Conduct periodic compliance audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential legal risks proactively.
  4. Legal Analysis and Advisory:
    • Conduct comprehensive legal analysis of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
    • Identify legal risks and propose effective strategies for risk mitigation.
    • Provide guidance and recommendations to management on legal issues impacting the company's operations and strategic objectives.
  5. Healthcare Delivery Support:
    • Collaborate closely with operational teams to ensure legal compliance in healthcare delivery processes and practices.
    • Advise on patient rights, consent forms, medical records management, and other healthcare-related legal matters.
    • Assist in resolving legal issues arising from healthcare service delivery operations.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the state bar in good standing.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience practicing law, preferably in healthcare, corporate, or commercial law domains.
  • Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation, drafting, and comprehensive contract lifecycle management.
  • In-depth understanding of healthcare laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Proven capability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
