Job Description

The business Development Associate role combines a lot of skill and ability to find quick, reliable solutions on the go.

This role is responsible to support the Group Country Manager of Caribbean and Central America with day-today operations and strategic initiatives for the region.

Essential Functions:

  • Plan and arrange Group Country Manager's agenda (ie. meetings, events, appointments, travel reservations, transportation, etc.)
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Visa's business, products/services and corporate processes.
  • Understand and assist in the development of Caribbean and Central America's Monthly Business Reviews.
  • Responsible for organizing and creation of Caribbean and Central America's quarterly town hall.
  • Develop and publish weekly business updates of Caribbean and Central America to Visa's Leadership.
  • Responsible for managing Caribbean and Central America Distribution Lists and updated organizational structure.
  • Responsible for contract management in region with the support of Legal teams.
  • Assume the role of single point-of-contact in managing and tracking all activities and work with in-country Business Development and functional teams to ensure goal alignment and execution on all initiatives to achieve country goals.
  • Assist with management, planning, and tracking of key Visa events throughout the year.
  • Manage the hospitality of client visits at Visa's offices (ie. room reservations, badge entry, catering orders, restaurant reservations, etc.)
  • Monitor product budgets reporting associated with product platforms, ensuring budget is fully optimized while proper processes are followed, and initiatives are delivered on time and within agreed budget.
  • Attend to all client queries and issues and provide timely and efficient solutions.
  • Support the execution of the country's Business Plans and ensure initiatives, budget and KPIs are consistently met.
  • Provide initiative support, tracking, problem-solving and project managing operational processes and workflows with other teams.
  • Run internal management tools to track various initiatives per clients.
  • Special projects and ad hoc task as assigned.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate: Minimum of 6 months of work experience or a Bachelor's Degree


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate: 2 or more years of work experience
  • 1-3 years of professional experience
  • English and Spanish with excellent communication skills both verbal and written, Portuguese as a plus.
  • Excellent presentation and planning skills
  • Strong interpersonal (ability to interact with several teams simultaneously) and time management skills.
  • Detailed and numbers oriented.
  • Has strong reporting, documentation, and presentation skills.
  • Possess an analytical mind - be able to analyze situations and offer solution to common problems.
  • Able to work on own initiative and independently.
  • Ability to coordinate internal and external resources and nurture cross functional relationships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Dynamics
  • Knowledge of SAP Concur
  • Knowledge and understanding of electronic payments as a plus
  • Strong ability to apply efficient decision-making, problem-solving and technical skills.
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 62,000.00 to 87,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
