The CPM manages and executes the contract portfolio and will drive contract fulfillment and enforceability, supported by analysis. Is the primary partner of the Sales organization, from the Ocean Product (long term contracts), and support with customer account management, addressing issues, driving contract quality, contract fulfillment, contract product delivery and execution; etc. Partners with the Sales Operations organization to understand customer feedback and drive improvements across the company.; liaison with Market Managers to address relevant issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder management: establish adequate operating system with the CPM community and relevant Sales organization, Sales Operations, L&S, TCM, GSC and Market Managers. Liaison on contract process, contract fulfillment, contract products, including but not limited to pricing strategy, contract fulfillment, customer retention, contract product development.
  • Direction Setting: Support direction setting with Head of CPM and execute, cascade to appropriate parties; provide direction setting to Sales and Sales Operations regarding customer plan and profitability in Ocean Contract; create and execute go to market plan with the L&S organization for each relevant customers.
  • P&L Performance Management: establish adequate operating system for ocean contract performance management in relevant scope, drive contract fulfillment, attend to parameters of success and failure, proactively address issues to the Sales organization and others as needed.
  • Quality Control: monitor data & process quality of contract fillings, and tenders. Monitor data quality of customer data, including but not limited to contract fulfillment.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact with Sales about the customer from the Ocean Product organization, relaying message from/to Market Managers as needed and supporting Sales during negotiation process

Accountable for

  • Contract Fulfillment in relevant scope, at trade level
  • Ocean volume delivery for contract customers in relevant scope
  • Go to Market plan in relevant scope
  • Customer retention & growth of scoped portfolio
  • Implementation and execution of Product Development / Enablement

Required experience & skills:

  • Minimum 2 years of Pricing experience in Ocean
  • Ocean shipping background
  • Excel knowledge (excel test will be required)
  • English proficient (required)
  • Commercial background (nice to have)
  • Analytical skills

  • Fast-thinking / Solution focused
