Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Management, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
Four (4) years of experience in utility billing or assessments.
Two (2) years of related customer services experience.
Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
Key Responsibilities
Assists with the management of the day-to-day operation of the Assessment and Billing Services Division through subordinate supervisors utilizing technology-driven solutions. Resolves escalated customer complaints or reports exceptional issues/concerns to the Manager, as needed. Approves all refunds for both assessment accounts and utility accounts, E&I's (Errors and Inclusions) for tax-billed assessment corrections, and applications for splits and combines.
Meets with team members and supervisors to discuss issues, update processes or policies, and provide training on new procedures. Coordinates activities with and/or provides information to other departments/divisions, task forces, local businesses, vendors and customers as needed to resolve issues, establish rapport, ensure data integrity, and/or improve customer service, operational efficiencies and safety. Works with the Assessment and Billing Manager to develop and implement agreements for Council approval or coordinate flow of information.
