Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Rockledge, FL. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Performs intermediate-level accounting work.
  • Ensures that all duties related to receivables are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and laws.
  • Work is performed under general supervision.
  • Position exercises some judgment by well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques.
  • Maintains and updates the Daily Financial Report.
  • Prepares and processes invoices; makes copies of all checks, codes, deposits, and post payments; processes all credit card payments.
  • Oversees the food service cash register drawer daily.
  • Corresponds with customers and responds to inquiries accurately and promptly.
  • Maintains monthly aging receivables.
  • Initiates collections on past-due accounts.
  • Create billings for all departments as necessary; enter data into appropriate computer software systems accurately and timely.
  • Maintains and reconciles the accounts; reviews all figures, postings, and documents to ensure they are correct and adequately coded for general ledger posting.
  • Provides financial information and analysis as needed.
  • Maintains all accounts receivable files, reports, and spreadsheets, ensuring compliance with established policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Other duties may be assigned based on business needs.

Hours: 40 hours/week.

Length: Contract to Direct.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Procurement Specialist.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Have or obtain additional formal industry certification(s) based on area of assignment.
  • Able to satisfy Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) Level 2 background screening requirements.
  • Knowledge of clerical procedures and systems, such as managing files, records, and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing outstanding customer
  • Ability to operate a computer and create documents using Microsoft Office Suite and applicable department/organization-specific software.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with those contacted during work.
  • Ability to organize work for timely completion.
  • Ability to regularly attend work and arrive punctually for designated work schedule.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.

  • Depending on the functional area of the assignment, tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, which may include lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects and materials of light weight (up to 20 pounds).
  • Tasks may involve sitting at a workstation and utilizing a keyboard for extended periods.
  • Tasks are regularly performed inside without exposure to adverse environmental conditions (dirt, heat, cold, rain, fumes).
  • Some tasks need manual dexterity and visual and hearing acuity.
