Here is what you would do:

  • Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems, or subsystems.
  • Use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments.
  • Review customer specifications and requirements to develop designs to best support them.
  • Provide input on budget, cost, and schedule for design assignments.
  • Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and services.
  • Support the program design to cost & design for manufacture requirements. Develop prototypes to reduce development risks.
  • Complete a technical project independently.
  • Provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel.
  • Review customer specifications and requirements, and under direct supervision, develop designs to best support them.
  • Document component and subsystem specifications and material requirements
  • Analyze designs as required.
  • Develop prototypes to reduce development risks.
  • Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and services.
  • Interact with technical management, other professionals, technicians, and support personnel to coordinate, recommend, and confer regarding technical activities and progress.
  • Participate with the design, development, analysis, testing and debugging of computer software applications and/or systems to include Image and Signal Processing, Real-time, Firmware, Nuclear/Hi-Rel, FAA Certified, Database Design, Operating Systems, Operator/Machine Interface, or others.
  • Develop software tools including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.
  • Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required.
  • Attend engineering, customer, and business meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or related technical field.
  • 8 years of experience developing in C/C++
  • 8 years of experience developing embedded software for micro controllers.
  • 8 years' experience reading hardware schematics.
  • 8 years' experience with real time operating systems.
  • 8 years' experience with interface protocols, RS-232, I2C, SPI, RS-485.
  • 8 years' experience using GIT/ GITLab.
  • 8 years' experience producing requirements and design documentation.

Here is what you'll get:

Pay: $70-$95/hr depending on experience.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off); 1st shift 7AM-5PM

Hybrid Role once onsite new hire training is complete.

Length: Temp to Direct

  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or related technical field
  • Mastery of technologies and domain knowledge
  • 8 years experience developing in C++, reading hardware schematics, working with real time operating systems, familiarity with GIT/GITLAB and with interface protocols, RS-232, I2C, SPI, RS-485
  • 8 years of experience in multiple engineering disciplines
