Job Description/Essential Functions:

This position is at the Navy Experimental Diving Unit (NEDU), Panama City, FL. It will provide on-site support to the NEDU Saturation Detachment (NSD).

Responsibilities.:

  • Shipping, receiving, inventory, issuing and disposition of NEDU Saturation Detachment (NSD) material, processing of Purchase Card and MILSTRIP requisitions, and maintenance of supply stock inventory.
  • Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) database maintenance and data entry.
  • Review Operating Material & Supplies (OM&S) warehousing/inventory transactions and update records in ERP.
  • Generate and process sole source procurements and administer all required documents to finalize the purchases.
  • Participate in OM&S inventory operations, including reviewing and analyzing stocking, conducting inventories, identifying and processing for expenditure excess materials and supporting special projects.
  • Provide logistics support to keep on-site equipment operational and available for use by NSD.
  • Comply with Navy HAZMAT regulations, administration of material safety data sheets and the proper storage of HAZMAT.
  • Knowledgeable in deep submergence/saturation diving systems, diver's life support systems, and Quality Assurance (QA) programs.
  • General warehouse organizational skills and cleanliness.
  • Capable of unloading/loading material off and onto panel trucks and flatbed trailers.
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down saturation diving system to include lifting / moving heavy objects.
  • Assist in daily clean-up of work areas.
  • Assist in preparation of reports and presentations.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Experience in logistics inventory, operations and life-cycle support. Experience may include Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) in related fields such as commercial research and development efforts, or maritime industries.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of hazardous material (HAZMAT) regulations
  • Travel to both INCONUS and OCONUS locations may be required.
  • Proven ability to use all Microsoft Office tools.
  • Must be able to work in a Team Environment.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Desired Experience:
  • Experience with NAVSEA ERP.
  • Experience with Navy HAZMAT programs.
  • Experience with U.S. Navy saturation diving procedures and extensive knowledge of diver's life support systems, DLSS mechanical systems, and U.S Navy Quality Assurance programs.
  • Knowledge of the mission and functions of the activity.
