Job Requirements:

Degree/Education:

    Graduation from an academic program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
  • Proficiency in reading, understanding, speaking, and writing English.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 12 months of active work as a radiologic technologist within the last 24 months.
  • Knowledge of osteology and arthrology fundamentals, basic anatomy and physiology, radiographic positioning fundamentals, and principles of asepsis and sterile techniques.

Certifications:

  • Certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or equivalent state certification.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.

Duties:

  • Join an elite team and perform radiographic duties in the cutting-edge pain management clinic, contributing to specialized procedures.
  • Collaborate with skilled physicians during non-surgical/surgical and diagnostic procedures, making a tangible impact on patient care.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, showcasing your expertise in assembling, operating, and maintaining these technologies.
  • Order diagnostic laboratory and radiographic procedures, actively participating in the unique activities of pain management clinics.
  • Engage with military members by screening, scheduling, and checking-in patients, taking pride in escorting them to treatment areas.
  • Monitor and record physiological measurements, ensuring comprehensive patient care within a military healthcare setting.
  • Showcase your technical prowess by correctly positioning patients for examination, making necessary adjustments for required procedures.
  • Process and send digital images for interpretation to radiologists, adhering to MTF protocols.
  • Contribute to system calibrations and quality control tasks, recognizing artifacts and equipment errors.
  • Observe and report symptoms directly impacting patient conditions, fostering a swift response to adverse reactions.
  • Be a key player in emergency measures for situations requiring resuscitation, highlighting your commitment to patient well-being.
  • Initiate equipment repair requests, showcasing your dedication to maintaining top-tier medical equipment.
  • Uphold radiation safety policies/procedures, participating in military-specific training as directed.
  • Utilize basic computer skills for patient data entry and information extraction, ensuring seamless integration with advanced healthcare systems.
  • Demonstrate a deep respect for patient rights, contributing to a positive and dignified healthcare environment.
  • Apply principles of asepsis, infection control, and medical standards in your daily responsibilities.
  • Ensure proper cleaning and storage of equipment, performing preventive maintenance and routine cleaning as directed.
  • Establish health protective measures such as universal precautions and radiation protection measures, ensuring a safe and secure healthcare environment.
  • Prepare equipment and patients for diagnostic studies and therapeutic procedures, contributing to technical and administrative radiology activities.
