This position is located at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California.

This position is not eligible for a remote or telecommuting schedule.

Essential Functions
  • Supervises the LISC, Western Range Depot Shops organization, to include the Machine/Fabrication shop, Paint shop, and Crane/High-lift support department
  • Identifies PDM, UDLM, EDLM, and Project support resource requirements and coordinates directly with Operations, Depot Technical Maintenance Professionals, Engineering and Project management to ensure successful completion of assigned tasking
  • Interface with all Western Range resources, management, appropriate government stakeholders and contractors to ensure continuity of information for LISC performance and Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements
  • Interprets SWO requirements and supervises the associated Depot production effort through completion
  • Coordinates Crane/High-lift support for PMI, PDM, EDLM, UDLM, Project support and Ogden as required
  • Notifies Depot Operations Center, Maintenance Control Center, Depot management and/or Project Management of potential technical challenges, or schedule delays.
  • Creates and leads the development of new Depot processes, tools, procedures, and provides solutions to complex issues within the organization
  • Monitors and ensures employees' applicable training and certification requirements are up to date and current
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures pertaining to job site safety, security, and timekeeping.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
  • Knowledge of equipment manuals, product specification sheets, blueprints, drawings, and engineering sketches.
  • Effective communication skills both oral and written
Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business or technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five (5) years of experience of leading a maintenance or project support organization
  • Two (2) years' experience leading a team in a technical environment
  • Knowledge with Environmental and OSHA Standards and Safety/Security Policies and Procedures
  • Experience working in a collective bargaining unit environment, preferred
  • Experience with Western Range project support and integration, operations and maintenance is preferred, along with a general understanding of the Range items that make up the Western Range
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook)
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
  • Occasional travel is required
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirement
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License required
  • This position is not eligible to telecommute

The salary range for this role is $76,970. to $98,727. however, RGNext considers several factors when extending an offer for employment, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training and preferred skills, and knowledge.
