Quality Supervisor (Aerospace Electronics)

Acara Solutions is helping our national aerospace client with a manufacturing plant in Ft. Walton Beach, FL, find a Quality Supervisor to join their organization as a salaried direct employee. The salary range for this position is $90K - $106K plus bonus.
This onsite position requires experience supervising employees along with electronics experience (ideally within aerospace). There will be 8 direct reports (inspectors) with 15 total on team. This is a hands-on supervisory position doing inspection and engineering work.
- Train and lead Inspectors
- Assess departmental core competencies needed and develop / implement personnel development plans to address gaps.
- Reporting and improvement of all quality related KPI's
- Support AS9100, customer, and government quality audits and corrective actions
- Prepare and present periodic management reviews of quality systems to the Quality Manager
- Ensure follow-up and closure of preventive and corrective action requests, as well as verification of effectiveness.
- Maintenance of non-conforming material systems, as well as collection and reporting of costs of poor quality
- Support new product design and introduction.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Prefer Bachelor's degree (ideally a BSEE or similar), but will consider someone with an Associate's degree with the right electronics experience
- Min 2 years of supervisory experience
- Min 2 years of quality assurance electronics manufacturing experience (including planning and implementation)
This is an ITAR facility, U.S. Persons Required
Preferred:
General AS9100 knowlege
AS9145 exp/ PPAP/APQP
SPC and Minitab exp
Good knowledge of soldering/J Std-001, IPC620, etc.
ASQ CQM/OE Certification
Experience with Kaizen, Lean and Six Sigma Methodologies
Power electronics exp a plus
Problem solving with 8D, 5why
