Quantum Research International, Inc. Mission:

Quantum's Experiment Support Team (QUEST) provides the Department of Defense with consistent, automated, and scalable data collection and management services for our Nation's Autonomy and Artificial Intelligence (AAI) research and development projects. QUEST provides rich curated data at the speed of mission as its contribution to inventing new ways of teaming Humans and Machines for improved outcomes. QUEST needs your assistance as a Cloud Architect to achieve these goals.

Responsibilities:

Work with all members of the Quantum Quest Team to develop and implement a cloud -based architecture to support the rapid collection, curation, processing, dissemination, and rapid retraining of AAI systems while on mission in the field. The Cloud Architect (CA) will lead the AAI tradecraft and analytics workflow modernization efforts that require data science, six sigma applications, and modern software solutions to bring differentiated capabilities to DoD's AAI developers. This position requires a technical leader who is ready to both roll up their sleeves to solve hard, interesting problems as well as step back and set a technology vision for growing the business. The CA will be responsible for building and refining technical solutions in the areas of Agile software development in the field adapted to rapid retraining of AAI systems, networking, cloud services, and other managed services across ongoing contracts.

  • Experience designing Cloud based solutions in one of the major Cloud provider technologies (AWS, Azure,).
  • Ability to develop, manage, and implement a technology roadmap and portfolio.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with public speaking skills.
  • Ability to influence and persuade others, as well as handle difficult negotiations requiring a well-developed sense of strategy.
  • Ability to lead teams, originate new ideas, projects, and methodologies; and execute projects and/test and experimentation exercise within established financial and/or time constraints.
  • Ability to develop and utilize appropriate data collection techniques and design, build, and use models and simulation techniques.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; negotiate complex issues; and maintain good working relations.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in a Science, Engineering, or Technology field.
  • Recognized expert technologist with at least 7-10 years of experience in mission software solutions related to Amazon Web Services Cloud Architecture design and implementation.

Must be a US Citizen.

Security Clearance: Must have Secret with the ability to qualify and obtain a Top Secret/SCI.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel internationally and work in austere environments.
  • Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs. equipment containers un-assisted.
  • Must be able to move through water, sand, and vegetation un-assisted.
