Finance- Procurement Summer Internship 2020

12 Weeks from May 18- August 7

Paid internship with Career Development, Experiential Learning, Social Activity and Exposure to Senior Leaders during your time as an intern

Improving our value add and service to our partners and stakeholders by negotiating and implementing a comprehensive yet efficient Source-2-Settle solution

Ensuring vendors are proactively managed to drive performance, reduce risk, and deliver more value

Maintain compliance with government regulations and WellCare Policies, while developing our people and fostering a high-performing team.

The Intern will work with managers/associates to develop a change management approach to ensure the proper communication with associates in regards to the Procurement solution.


  • Draft communication plan to be shared with all associates and vendors as needed. Measure: Communication plan drafted and approved.
  • Revise and optimize Procurement training guides. Measure: Documented process and updated training materials.
  • Assist with the delivery and implementation of the change management materials. Measure: Change management materials created and approved.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Have relevant education aligned withfinance functions (Are high-performing students committed to excellence asdemonstrated by GPA and work and volunteer experience;

  • Have an ability to meet and/orexceed performance measures for their respective role/responsibility;

  • Demonstrate maturity/professionalismand have strong communications skills (written and verbal); and

  • Have potential to develop into astrong contributor and/or leader within Finance and the Company

Candidate Education:

  • Currently enrolled as a junior, senior or graduate student in a college program with course work related to the internship with a minimum 3.0 GPA or Pass ratings.
  • Preferred Majors: Business Administration, Project Management, Change Management, Communications Majors will be considered
