About the practice

This private practice first opened in Boynton Beach in 1963 and was purchased by Dr. Greg Pientka in 1998. This practice offers full scope optometric services to residents of Palm Beach County of all ages and insurances and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and specialty contact lenses. Located just 10 minutes from downtown Delray, this ideal practice location offers convenient access to I-95 and SR-804. With plans to modernize the current location including an optical redesign, Dr. Pientka is looking to add an OD to the growing practice staff of ten employees.

As a highly rated practice in the community, Palm Beach Eyes focuses on providing patient-centered care and is committed to improving the quality of life for its patients through enhanced vision. Fully suited with top-of-the-line optical equipment, this practice is one of the few practices in the area to offer high-resolution OCT technology to diagnose and guide patients with treatment options. Patients enjoy a family-friendly shopping experience as they browse a wide selection of optical frames and sunglasses from the optical boutique-plus personalized customer support from friendly and trained office staff.

About the opening

The practice is seeking a full-time Doctor of Optometry who genuinely cares about the patient experience and is dedicated to providing the gold-standard care that Palm Beach Eyes patients know and expect. In this role, you'll perform in-depth eye exams for vision and ocular health, including medical-based exams, and evaluate patients for specialty contact lenses. The current office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with extended hours on Thursday until 7:00 p.m.; and 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Fridays. The OD will work 40 hours per week-for the right candidate.

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate will be a friendly and service-oriented team builder with a talent for quick learning and innovative application. Additionally, the minimum qualifications include:

• Doctor of Optometry license in the state of Florida
