ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

Hiring Range: $165,000 - 225,000

NOTE: We are currently accepting applications for Finance Leadership candidates who may qualify for Vice President or Senior Director level. Requirements shown below are VP level requirements.

About the Opportunity:

The VP of Finance is responsible for oversight of all Finance functions, with a special focus on FP&A and continuing to develop the organization's financial reporting capabilities. Working closely with the CFO and other members of the Senior Leadership Team, the person in this role will take the lead on designing, building and continually improving Performant's internal financial reporting processes, which provide our leaders the information they need to make informed business decisions. The ideal leader in this role will have an analytical mindset, be very skilled in all forms of communication, and be focused on providing value to Customers both internal and external.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing all financial functions for Performant and its subsidiaries, including all internal and external financial reporting.
  • Works with CFO to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining financial objectives.
  • Approach daily work with an FP&A mindset, and work on deals of all types - M&A, Vendors, Lenders, and Investors (in partnership with Investor Relations).
  • Manage overall day-to-day financial planning across the company, including revenue and recognition timing, payroll, operating and non-operating expenses, and capital investments.
  • Responsible for supporting CFO on acquisition target analysis, focusing on operational and financial impacts to the investment pre- and post-acquisition.
  • Provide detailed financial reports to all Senior Leaders within the organization, including the CEO and CFO for use in Board of Directors meetings and communication.
  • Manage and enhance the Company's ongoing budgeting process, incorporating forecasts and volume projections.
  • Evaluate existing finance resources and assist in the hiring of appropriate staff as required.
  • Day-to-day management of Finance leadership team and/or individual contributors.
  • Other related job duties, as assigned by CFO.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed

  • Demonstrated qualities of Leadership, Problem Solving, Teamwork, Analytics, Communication Skills, Business Knowledge, and Initiative.
  • Must be a phenomenal communicator, including ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

  • At least six (6) years experience working as leader within Corporate Finance, or within a financial services company (Investment Banking, Private Equity, etc.)
  • Experience working within a public company is highly desired.
  • Strong technical abilities and knowledge, primarily of reporting systems and MS Office Applications, is required.
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
