Radiant Power is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our growing Quality team.

This position is located in Sarasota, FL and is full-time, Monday - Thursday. This is not a work from home position.

Radiant Power Corp. delivers the highest levels of quality and reliability from our full range of aerospace products. We provide a wide variety of emergency power supplies, power distribution and control sub-systems, flight deck sensors and instruments, a full suite of passenger comfort/cabin products, AeroELT Emergency Locator Transmitters and our Dukane-Seacom Underwater Locator Beacons.

This position requires use of information or access to hardware, which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.


This position provides the quality interface and expertise between the company and its Suppliers to proactively assure that their needs and expectations are understood.

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Management of the Supplier feedback process, to include the corresponding corrective/preventative actions.
  • Provide quality interface, expertise and support to suppliers
  • Preparation of reports of supplier performance to give feedback to suppliers and the company.
  • Execute the initiatives in the development, implementation and improvement of the Quality Management System.
  • Participate in internal Quality System audits and manage follow up corrective actions.
  • Develops statistical data and product/process performance to recommend improvements.
  • Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
  • Represent the quality function during Supplier selection process and maintain up to date approved Supplier listing.
  • Plan and implement monitoring actions with the suppliers including Quality Management System and product/process audits.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
  • Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Experience and Competencies

  • Two to Five years of relevant quality assurance experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members of all levels.
  • Must be highly responsive to requests, with a high attention for detail and accuracy.
  • Must be flexible and able to multi-task in a time sensitive environment.
  • Must be well-organized, and able to work in a fast paced, manufacturing environment
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports.
  • Read/Write Fluently in English
  • MS Office Suite including; Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Sustained dependable attendance.
  • Cooperation with others in team environment for cross training and conference on operational issues.
  • Initiative in learning and changing work methods to accomplish assigned tasks on a timely basis.
  • Knowledge of ISO and AS Quality Systems desired, but not required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk.
  • Regularly required to walk up and down stairs.
