Job Functions:

Maintain overall cleanliness of Tampa campus by supporting night cleaning vendor and staff operating on campus. This position is also responsible for campus safety, performing routine maintenance activities regarding environmental needs, and notifying supervisor of needed building maintenance needs.


Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for stocking night cleaning vendor with all needed (paper products, trash liners, & Floor machine, etc. ) items or equipment to perform their tasks.
  2. Assist night cleaning vendor in any cleaning tasks.
  3. Reports to Environmental Supervisor all end of night & monthly inspections to ensure overall cleanliness and campus security by our night cleaning vendor.
  4. Responsible for and reporting all night time safety, emergencies, & needed repairs.
  5. Supports the day or night team in other tasks as assigned.
  6. Participate in all Team meetings & trainings.
  7. Meet personal goals and actively contribute to the achievement of the team and organizational goals.
  8. Communicate with the night cleaning crew and crew leaders on a regular basis and Confirm that night cleaning crew achieves their assigned tasks for all locations.



Requirements

Education and Experience:

This position must have a high school diploma or GED; Must be able to work with minimal Supervision. Experience in Environmental Services recommended.


Skill Requirements:

This position requires the ability to work within a multidisciplinary framework. This position must be computer literate, with knowledge of Microsoft Office. This position must be willing to be cross trained and utilized by the Operations Department. This position must be able to communicate effectively in English, orally as well as in writing. The position requires a degree of maturity, sensitivity to issues of faith, cross cultural and diversity issues, and the social skill to handle job-related matters in a professional and diplomatic manner. This position must demonstrate a heart for the ministry of serving poor and homeless families. Also requires managerial skills, the ability to supervise both individual and group volunteers, and the ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries with clients, staff, and volunteers.


Physical Requirements:

Must be able to tolerate outdoor temperatures consistent with Florida climate and endure prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping, and stretching. This position must be able to relocate materials in a safe and proper manner. This position must be able to climb ladders and stairs regularly. This position must be able to calculate mathematical equations as needed for inventory control. Must have adequate hearing and speaking ability as to take part in and provide sound oral communication and information. This position must have the physical, emotional, and spiritual stamina to handle job-related issues and stress. This position must be able to lift 50 lbs or more.


Other:

Must demonstrate legal authorization to work in the United States and pass applicable pre-employment background screening. This position must be able to work flexible schedules during the holiday season (October-December), in support of special events, and periodically on the weekends.
