Manages human resources operations for PGA TOUR Golf Course Properties supporting the TPC Network of clubs; to include agronomy, golf course operations, food and beverage, marketing and sales, and accounting functions. Responsible for talent acquisition, succession/workforce planning, performance management and development at all levels and coaching/developing others to help influence and execute business objectives in the most efficient manner. Provide inspiring and strategic leadership while directing the activities of the properties in support of the mission, core values, standards and goals established.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree (M. A.) or equivalent;
  • Minimum of ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training, and preventive labor relations, preferred.
  • A decisive individual who possesses a strategic focus as well as an operational, implementation and detail-oriented perspective, relative industry experience preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of Human Resources practices and procedures as well as considerable knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to Human Resources matters.
  • Bi-lingual a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Oversees the implementation of the Human Resource function for PGA TOUR Golf Course Properties, supporting the TPC network. Monitors administration to established standards and procedures. Identifies opportunities for improvement and resolves any discrepancies;
  • Responsible for employee relations and engagement. Serves as advisor for management and employees, addressing concerns, inquiries and conflicts efficiently and professionally.
  • Develops and administers strategic and operational HR programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals and culture of PGA TOUR Golf Course Properties;
  • Works with properties to ensure inclusive recruiting and hiring practices and procedures necessary to recruit and hire for positions of responsibility,
  • In conjunction with T&C compensation team, manages progressive and proactive compensation and benefits programs to provide motivation, incentives and rewards for effective performance, recruit and retain talent;
  • Develop human resource planning models to identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps and develop specific programs for the filling of the gaps. Areas of activity will include talent management through proper succession planning programs for key contributor and management positions, training and development programs for preparing employees for more significant responsibilities and general business development programs to enhance employee knowledge and understanding of the business of the company;
  • Continually assess the competitiveness of all TPC properties employee programs and practices against the relevant comparable companies, industries and markets;
  • Partners with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs and laws. Determines and recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation;
  • Leads company compliance with all existing governmental and labor legal and government reporting requirements. Serves as the primary contact with the company employment law attorney and outside government agencies;
  • Special Projects or other duties as assigned.
