Overview

The Business Development Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and effectuating the company's business development process and all business development activities, in support of our market sector strategic business objectives, and of our overall effort to hit our booked sales goals. The Business Development Coordinator will work directly in support of their assigned Manager's objectives and will also assist and support in advancing the organization's corporate business development objectives.

MasTec's Clean Energy and Infrastructure Group (CE&I) is a $2 billion annual revenue business unit that provides construction services for industrial facilities; building products manufacturers, power generation facilities, manufacturing plants; solar, wind, and thermal energy plants; buildings, and infrastructure.


Responsibilities

80% Sales:

  • Attends Pre-Bid Meetings
  • Searches Lead Publications to identify new opportunities
  • Coordinating the proposal development process
  • Scheduling and facilitating pursuit win strategy meetings, proposal kick-off meetings, and other related activities, establishing timelines and deadlines
  • Reviews RFP and bid/qualifications request documents so that client requirements are clearly understood
  • Works with assigned MSP to prepare the Proposal Outline & Responsibilities form, in line with the MSP's win strategy plan
  • Works with the MSP to prepare a proposal schedule that includes ample time for submittal development, red team review, production and delivery
  • Coordinates the proposal and presentation effort, working with assigned resources (e.g. Graphic Support, Technical Team - Estimating, Construction Operations, Building Systems, etc.) to procure and organize all submittal elements
  • Tailors proposal narratives, resumes and project profile write ups as needed, including accurately proofing and editing text
  • Monitors progress and reports status of all submittal elements to the MSP and assigned resources on a continuous basis to ensure the timely and quality preparation of a submittal
  • Works with the pre-approved vendors during production, printing, and packaging of the submittal to ensure a quality final product

20% - Marketing:

  • Market Research
  • Collects key data to analyze industry trends
  • Knowledge Content development, update, maintenance

  • Hybrid remote work model
  • When visiting jobsites, the work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Must have minimum of (5) years of A/E/C/ Industry experience coordinating proposals, presentations, and other similar deliverables.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Photoshop & InDesign
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent time management & organizational skills
