Work Hours: 2nd Shift; Monday - Thursday; 3:00pm - 1:00am

What to Expect?
The Production Supervisor is responsible for the on-time, effective management of the department to meet monthly production goals. The Production Supervisor manages the departmental processes and personnel to maximize production and minimize downtime while maintaining Suncoast quality standards. A pillar in our production team, the Production Supervisor must have leadership qualities, be organized, detail oriented, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

On a daily basis our Production Supervisor:

  • Responsible for the on-time delivery to the production schedule and ensures department standards are met.

  • Responsible for the quality being produced in their department which includes but not limited to, approval of first article inspection and spot-checks throughout production to ensure lines are producing to the Suncoast standard.

  • Communicates and implements production improvement opportunities.

  • Ensures each line has the appropriate number of employees to maximize throughput with respect to labor $/pound.

  • Responsible for proper documentation on production logs to track production / downtime / losses.

  • Tracks, communicates, and implements corrective actions to improve departmental OEE.

  • Performs quarterly and year end evaluations for employees in department.

  • Upholds Suncoast 5S+ standards in the department.

  • Identifies employees who are not performing to the Suncoast standard and provides training as required.

  • Monitor incoming packaging and chemical materials so that production runs un-interrupted throughout the shift.

  • Responsible for ensuring proper chemical handling in department to prevent cross-contamination.

  • Any other duties, as assigned.

What You Will Need:

  • Ensure a safe work environment by enforcing company policy on Safety, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), housekeeping, material handling and operation standards.

  • Extremely well organized with an ability to prioritize work with a keen eye for detail.

  • Have leadership qualities.

  • Understanding of advanced industrial math skills and proficient with MS Office suite and AS400 (J.D. Edwards).

  • Performs root cause analysis and corrective actions for continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Ability to delegate with empathy and compassion toward other employees.
