Job Description:
Position Summary:
This position works with both adult and youth populations. Facilitates educational groups at Centerstone, Drug Court, and various other community organizations. Provides educational information to adults, and families using Life Skills, Anger Management, Substance Abuse, and Parenting curriculums. Works 40 hours weekly throughout the year, some weekends and evenings are required. Experience in mental health or classroom setting preferred. Requires excellent team building and communication skills. Bachelor's degree in related field. Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License in good standing, with their own vehicle.

Preferred Qualification:

Essential Functions/Job Duties:
Provide knowledge and increase awareness of the nature and extent of alcohol and drug use.
Will facilitate evidenced based education groups in various community settings as determined by program supervisor.
Will establish positive working relationships with those affiliated with our community partnerships
Educate the community about treatment programs and services.
Educate the community about life skills, social skills, problem-solving, communication skills and peer resistance.
Establish working relationships with other community providers to strengthen the program.
Document and maintain records of contacts and presentations.
Must be self-motivated, have good communication skills, and be assertive with clear and appropriate boundaries.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
Mobility to work in a standard office environment, use standard office equipment and attend off-site meetings. Manual dexterity to use standard office equipment and supplies and to manipulate both single sheets of paper and large document holders (binders, manuals, etc.); mobility and strength to occasionally lift, carry and position supplies. Frequent travel required.
Position Type, Expected Hours of Work and Travel:
These prevention activities are conducted in the community, travel is required. Works 40 hours weekly throughout the year, some weekends and evenings are required.Typical hours are 9:00am-5:00pm but may vary to meet client's needs.
