Key Position Information:
A minimum of two (2) years of proven recent surgical technology experience (clinical coordinator). Possess a CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA). Instructors must meet the appropriate credentialing requirements by the ARCSTSA.
Position Summary:
A faculty member at SPC has the primary function of instruction, coaching and student development. Secondary functions include assisting the college in developing and maintaining a quality program of instruction, providing service to the college and continuing professional development.

Faculty with instructional responsibilities in core surgical technology must:
* Possess a CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
* All instructors must meet the appropriate credentialing requirements by the ARCSTSA (Accreditation Review Council on Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting).
* All instructors must meet the appropriate credentialing requirements for the Southern Association for Colleges and Schools (SACS).
* This position requires current knowledge and technical practice skills as a Surgical Technologist
* Experience with student counseling and coaching in the three domains of learning (cognitive=thinking/critical thinking, affective=emotion and feeling, and psychomotor=physical/kinesthetic).
* Experience teaching adults in a community college setting and or clinical coordination experience is preferred.
