Job Description

Cruz Associates Inc. of Yorktown, VA (www.cruzinc.us) has a position open and is looking for qualified candidates for a Quality Assurance Test Technician. The job location is Shalimar, Florida in support of the Special Operations Mission Planning Environment (SOMPE).

Scope: The Quality Assurance Test Technician shall support SOMPE by performing integrated support observation and participation in system testing/exercises, and by participating in technical meetings and program reviews with an emphasis on Tactical Assault Kit software.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather data, develop input for integrated test and evaluation plans, technical analyses, and prepare technical reports.
  • Define, perform, document, and present precise tests.
  • Test for technical compliance to defined requirements, functional capability, performance, usability, and integration within a specified software environment on host computer hardware platforms.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Required Education and Experience:

  • Solid background (minimum of five (5) years) in United States Special Forces ground/maritime, combat controller or pararescue operations is required.
  • Operational knowledge of Android Tactical Assault Kit/Windows Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK/WinTAK) software and associated plugins (ex: DataSync, Jumpmaster, Reports, Spot Plot etc.) or equivalent required.
  • Experience in U.S. Special Forces ground/maritime/pararescue tactical communications hardware setup and deployment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must possess good writing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Desired Experience:

  • Experience as Instructor/Subject Matter Expert\Liaison Officer
  • Experience with Network/Server operations. (Direct experience with TAKServer a major plus.)
  • Experience with Linux, VMs, and Containers software, and network hardware and peripherals

Bonus Skills

BS/MS Degree in engineering, business, or operations research
