The Fresh Market is committed to providing a package of standard and optional benefits designed to have the
flexibility to meet the needs of our people regardless to their personal life situations.

Our basic package for all full-time employees provides medical, prescription medicine and dental coverage
through the extensive national networks of BlueCross and BlueShield and Delta Dental. If needed, this coverage may also be
extended to spouses or domestic partners and children.

We also cover all full-time employees with basic life insurance, short-term disability and long-term disability.
In addition, for those who require additional coverage we offer the option of increased term life insurance and
personal accident insurance for you and your spouse/domestic partner and children.

For our part-time workers we offer low cost medical, prescription medicine, dental and life insurance through the
Starbridge program.

What started as a dream of Ray and Beverly Berry in 1982 is now a 81-store privately owned enterprise. The Fresh Market continues to grow at a rate of 25% per year (approximately 15 to 20 stores a year) and with each new opening comes the opportunity to select up to 100 new employees. Headquartered in the Southeast, The Fresh Market’s growth is due to our dedicated and talented employees.

As our company keeps growing in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, we are also exploring potential sites in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.
