$2,048.52 to $2,253.37 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with occasional evenings. Performs entry-level professional urban/regional planning work. Work includes reviewing plans and collecting and analyzing data for planning projects related to the area of assignment and assisting in community planning and design studies.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Urban/Regional Planning OR Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Geography, Government, Political Science, Statistics, or a closely related field PLUS one (1) year of professional urban/regional planning experience OR Bachelor’s degree in Urban/Regional Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Geography, Political Science, Statistics, or a closely related field PLUS six (6) months as a Brevard County Planner – Intern OR Associate’s degree PLUS three (3) years of professional urban/regional planning experience. Professional Planning experience may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida Driver’s license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
