$2,048.52 to $2,253.37 biweekly.  Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications.  Government Center/Viera.  Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with occasional evenings.  Performs entry-level professional urban/regional planning work.  Work includes reviewing plans and collecting and analyzing data for planning projects related to the area of assignment and assisting in community planning and design studies.

 

REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in Urban/Regional Planning OR Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Geography, Government, Political Science, Statistics, or a closely related field PLUS one (1) year of professional urban/regional planning experience OR Bachelor’s degree in Urban/Regional Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Geography, Political Science, Statistics, or a closely related field PLUS six (6) months as a Brevard County Planner – Intern OR Associate’s degree PLUS three (3) years of professional urban/regional planning experience.  Professional Planning experience may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis.  SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:  Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida Driver’s license and maintain said license during the term of employment.  In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
